Description of PRS Cooling Roller

The PRS cooling roller used in PRS (Pull Roll Stand) unit in the biaxially oriented polyfilms production line. PRS – Complete system of individually driven rolls (when needed), provided with easy and automatic threading of film from the TDO unit to the winder, adjustable to any operating speed. It has been designed to carry out the following functions:

(1). Cooling of the surface of the film after stretching

(2). Measurement of the thickness: high accuracy and low energy X-ray gauge (up to 10 meters width), totally non-radioactive

(3). Safety guaranteed

(4). Treatment of film surface: corona or flame treatment

(5). Edge trimming: advanced edge cutting system

 

The main function of PRS cooling roller in BOPP/BOPET line is to reduce the deformation and shrinkage of the polyfilms during the winding process and increase the pass rate of the films. When rewinding film rolls, the material is prone to deformation due to excessive temperature of contraction when clloed, and the PRS cooling roller can reduce deformation and contraction.

 

PRS cooling roller plays different roles in the biaxially oriented polyfilm production line and is mainly divided into the following three types

(1). PRS cooling roller surface with chrome plating layer

(2). PRS cooling roller surface with patent anti-stick coating

(3). PRS cooling roller surface with stainless steel layer
